The NLISIS Meltfit One is a new, reliable and efficient method for coupling capillary columns in GC, GCxGC, CZE and all other coupled-column capillary separation techniques.

In five simple steps the NLISIS Meltfit One establishes an automated and standardized connection between two capillary columns, using a deactivated Meltfit Tube. A combination of heat and air pressure fixates the columns in the tube, establishing a seamless connection.

The Meltfit combines the excellent properties of glass connectors with the leak-tightness and mechanical stability of metal connectors. Meltfit connections can be used to connect columns with an internal diameter of 0.53/0.32/0.25/0.1 mm. With the Meltfit One you can also connect two columns of different sizes.
The Meltfit has been tested with up to eleven connections in series, without showing any noticeable band-broadening or leakage.
